Woulda a better weapon be a runemaster with ( for sake of smiting using res jewels) non eth 5os with
3 30/15's cold fire light + 2 bers for cb? Or same combo but in a 5os ph? Since crushing blow is really what gets the job done iso an opinion on this

Resistances: amulet, body armor, shield, belt, charms, skills (Salvation, Fade from Treachery), potions (Malah, or any other potion vendor, sells Thawing Potion and Antidote Potion almost for free, and their 30 sec. duration is stackable)
Crushing Blow: helm (GFace), body armor (Duress), weapon (AIW, Stormlash, Black, LW), boots (Gore, Goblin)

For Heaven's Light do not use a Rune Master when smiting.

If someone is having real issues ubering for torches, they'll probably have a bigger issue reading this guide.
10/10 just for the fact that you put so much work/effort but I think this would be better off ''dumbed down''.

So doing ubers there is really no reason to use some CB gloves like these I have?

not sure whether to use them for my uber smiter on ladder or selling them and just using dracs..

Use only if either or both of the following are true:

  1. +20% IAS from the gloves is required for a higher Smite speed (based on current equipment and skills).
  2. His remaining equipment offers little or no CB at all.

Likely both false - otherwise you may want to review your item choices.

This is a technical approach. The guide is actually very understandable, and I would think even someone with limited knowledge of most things D2 could understand what is being said if at least some effort is put into it.
Great compilation of information

Duress with Grief, Fortitude with any of the other weapons listed.

In this guide, you get to crushing blow between 75 - 100%. With max ias for smite, I think this is unnecessary. Could you do any calculations (using the data you have) for say 50% cb vs 100%? In the former case, CB would hit every 1 of 2 hits on average anyway, and you're smiting VERY fast. I don't think having CB > 65% or so would increase your killing speed by any measurable margin, given max ias and everything else you've mentioned in an ideal setup

My point is, if you don't focus on getting max % CB you can swap out some items in favour of others (for those who do not like duress or g.face).

I also don't see FHR mentioned as any sort of point of focus in this guide? Is that because it's something you need not be concerned with?

fhr in pvm isnt needed lol.

i actually consider it a bit redundant in pvp aswell(vs some opponents that is)

That's why I asked about FHR, didn't think it made any difference. I have been building sorcs for various things lately so all i have stuck in my head is MOAR FHR :P ty though

My main question is about CB - I already kinda half-knew the answer regarding faster hit recovery.
