WWS, even upped has nowhere near the damage potential of a WF, shame really, 'cause it's a nice cheap bow for a pit strafer, definitely not a bow that should be socketed with hr's though.

I'd suggest Wrath but you really need to build the char around it to get the most out of it, might be ok if you go with lots of dmg charms.

I sooooo wish this bow had fools mods don't you.

The other bow I am toying with is a Rare Amp Fools GMB or Mat bow. Either way, super expensive but could be the best combo if incorporating amp damage in bow.

i know you trying to make this cheap so
i wont go through with all the gear changes i came up with but some small ones here

imo cats is useless in pvm ( stick with atma all the time or hl ) you nn more frw ( titan + gore is enough )
also maybe change that stupid shield to storm ? ( max block + dr you lack horribly )

one more thing how much ar-life-dmg you have ? if you are not using any inv etc.. and with those items your ar isnt enough ( maybe max penetrate or at least mention it in the skills section ? ) decoy is pretty useless and crit strike can be maxed later ( it raises slow after some point anyways )

The rare would be the best, but you don't really need fools when you've got penetrate.

I am use to characters running their ass off so I try to get upwards of 80% at least. Its like switching to 125% fcr on a necro, you never go back.

i'll address ur char screen query when I get on my diablo comp later this week.

i just need to find something with amplify damage so I dont have to "switch gear out and keep it in my inventory" I like being able to just hit w and have everything I need.

Looking at the bow alone, from lvl 73 to lvl 99 which is the range in which you can use WF: (170 ED WWS).

Difference @level 73 = 108.25 average damage. This reduces by 0.41/level up to level 99 where the difference is 97.66 I've ignored any rounding here.

The numbers are - WWS averages 143.81-195.03, WF averages 252.06-292.69.

Should amp kick in, and with strafe it does rather a lot, then of course the WWS damage goes up to 390+

Add to that the two open sockets, the faster speed (very important if you do not have fana available), the 40@ and the level 20 Magic arrows?

OK, WWS lacks ML and KB, which are of course mandatory for strafing.

You also save potentially a net of 30 stat points for dex if you don't get the extra strength from gear.

All I'm saying is that the choice isn't as clear cut as all that.

I very much agree with you in theory. Thats why I offered it as an option in the first place.

Problem is, in the game, it doesnt even come close to proper kill speed for some reason. Maybe it's broken?

I nef + pskull'd it to offset the no knockback and mana leech.

I thought it was gunna be sweet but it didn't really work at all.

Except that when you can afford windforce, you can generally afford all the other good gear that goes with it, making it far,far better.

Windy is pretty cheap at this point.

I think if you took a skilled but naked zon and slapped a windy on her, the difference would STILL be vast between Windy and WWS. (assuming they had the same attack speed + skill lvl)

For some reason it just straight up SUCKS when you actually get it in the game.
