Just finished reading Catching Fire as well, going to read Mockingjay just to knock it out.
The premise of these books is really awesome, I feel that given a different author maybe or a collaboration it could have been a really awesome series, but it's still good regardless.

Just read "Homeland" by R.A Salvtore

haven't read much in the past year, looking to get back into it..

R.A 's work has always caught my eye, even though i had never read more that a couple chapters out of a book by him previously.
Although the story Homeland was definitely a dark-centered book, with the main focus being murder and deception, the storyline was beyond excellent.
I find irony in literature a great asset, and the book was filled with it.

100% a good read for a person that enjoys fantasy/adventure novels

Used to be hardcore into Salvatores stuff (mostly Drizzt related) and Homeland was the first book I read (ive now read them all). I loved it.

Wizards First Rule. I don't really know what I think of this series so far... it's like Wheel of Time, but more direct and action-y. At the same time I feel like i'm reading a teen fantasy; until he starts talking about the gorey details of people dying, Darken having lost half his cock to wizard fire etc etc.

I just finished a book named Gateway by Frederik Pohl. 1977 Sci-Fi book about a planet with a bunch of alien spaceships on it that human "prospectors" could ride to either riches or death, and the experience of one of these prospectors. Enjoyed it a lot. I should probably start reading Hunger Games, what with all the hype now...

Just finished Werewolf Smackdown by Mario Acevedo 8/10. It's the 5th book in a series based around Felix Gomez, an ex-soldier from Operation Iraqi Freedom turned private eye. The Nymphos of Rocky Flats is the 1st book, and, as the title suggests, there are adult themes. Not like a romance novel or erotica, but definately for kids to read.
