finally got around to this. pretty much Dicken's regular OCD genius. very straightfoward story. bunch of cool imagery and emotional scenes. good social commentary as well

I'm reading midnight's children next. really looking forward to it
a semi-allegory of the story of India's revolution told through fantasy tale form

I finally finished 1984 after about 2 months of intermittent reading and not reading. Overall, it was a pretty good book, funny and thought provoking ending. Hmmm.......
