Looking to upgrade from my old and trusty TP-Link Archer C7, which doesn't have the quite the WIFI range and sometimes have a hard time keeping up with 1Gbit internet over ethernet.

Thinking 500$ budget.
House is 140Kvm/1500sq ft. But would like to WIFI out on the terrace chill and work on laptop, and in the mini pigs house for a camera.

Been looking at UniFi Cloud Gateway Ultra + 2x UniFi U7 Pro.

What does your ethernet backbone look like? I wod say a mesh system, so you can have wifi everywhere.

To put it into perspective, I have a mesh system by netgear, and a 2400 Sq ft house, with wifi everywhere including outside, and I am missing a access point.

If u want to pm me a shopping site in your location. (Or I could ask a buddy) I can find something we'll in your price range for a good price. Lmk Ron

Yeah I've been close to upgrade for the last two years. But always seemed like the incorrect time because something was always around the corner. Now WIFI 7 seems affordable and only seen good things about UniFi.

Oh yeah forgot to mention there is ethernet is pretty much in all rooms of the house. So it's easy to hook up AP anywhere.

consider a eero mesh

Seems like their pack of two is 1100$. More than I was thinking of using on it.

fair enough, it's worth the investment though. Best cloud solution and range solution. I have the same infrastructure.

Can confirm, my company sells Unifi wireless access points for most of our clients(usually smaller businesses ranging from 5-200 employees) and they fit all of their needs

Will add another endorsement for Unifi APs, I run a couple myself and being able to have a hard wired backhaul to my core network was something important to me as I didn't want to run mesh and less throughput the further out I went. What's nice too is that they will support multiple SSIDs and have a setting for client device isolation to further protect any one device from getting compromised and being able to easily infect the rest of your network. Their switches are pretty decent too; I run a POE core switch to power my APs, and have the cheap $30 5 port switches in each of our rooms to connect the devices there. I will say though that I'm not so much a fan of their gateways and in the end opted to host my own OPNsense firewall/router and used a plugin to host the Unifi controller to manage all of our devices from there. But for your needs, it sounds like Unifi will probably check all the boxes.
