All I want to say is they did it on purpose. It is more obvious the 525w version is sold more for z440 to force people to buy z640 only to disappoint because does not accept long gpu.

It was more than likely a cost cutting measure. These usually aren’t meant to have components added to them/customized which is why they’re so cheap.

I just noticed from seller after he added a 6 to double 8 gpu connector to the psu and it worked made me surprise. Otherwise no point in having a z230.
