Currently using a basic TP Link wireless card for my pc, I play D2/D3 wirelessly and am wondering if there's a better product I could be using for my internet needs.

also, my PC is dated, below are my specs i'm wondering will the jump in performance be substantial upgrading to a Ryzen 5 5700x and GTX 3060, i'm currently having to use resolution scaling at lowest for D2R playing at 1080p on 57" TV, my hope is to be able to raise the scaling and enjoy more visuals, as currently even having scaling all the way down i'm at half vRam usage already. any higher and the game feels too laggy to bear with.

current:
AMD Fx 4350
GTX 660
Kingston SSD ( cheapo )
16GB G.Skill RAM

A compatible TP-Link Archer or any card with an Intel AX210 chip is the best you'll get for internal wireless components.

The jump from GTX 660 to a 3060 will be substancial. Wouldn't be a problem running D2/D3.

Ryzen 5 5700x is way overkill for those two games but if you want to future proof your build a bit or run more clients it's a good upgrade.

Just be sure to check that your new components are compatible. You may need a new motherboard to take advantage of the newer WiFi adapters. Microcenter has some pretty sweet bundles if you have one near you: https://www.microcenter.com/category/4294833320/computer-build-bundles

its basically a complete overhaul :) strix motherboard currently on sale on amazon, the 5700x is like roughly the same price as lower models so i figured why not. new power supply ( corsair 750w GOLD on sale right now on amazon ), keeping my SSD probably, obv new RAM, and also a new cpu heatsink because my Dark Rock Pro 2 will not work on the new AMD mobo's.

i do think i'll be running multiple clients, a few d2's at once or d2 and d3 at once. i want to be able to pretty much max all settings and scaling on d2r.

I would recommend any of the x3d processors if you're starting from scratch, even 5600x3d is great.

if y'all see a better combo by all means, I don't think i'll save that much on the CPU, however i'm not as familiar on the GPU's and what will allow me to run max d2/d3 ( I did also try playing starwars jedi fallen order, and I had a lot of stutter even on low settings, and this isn't a super brand new game ), open to some AMD offering if there's some good bang for buck options.

I want to say 3060 would deal with d2/d3 no problem. Fallen Order i'm not too sure on, I heard the game wasn't optimized well and a quick google search shows some issues that DLSS seems to have fixed. You can probably get away with Medium+ settings on that game as a guess.

as long as I don't stutter, after a few minutes I just stopped playing that game lol.

well looks like I order parts tonight unless anyone has any specific deals to suggest?

I cant wait cause currently i'm getting capped reaching 99% CPU usage at times while playing D2R. GPU usage stays low and memory around 10-40%, but when the cpu caps out everything is on pause and it's getting old and annoying.

so I ended up ordering:

MSI MAG Tomohawk mobo ( has wifi on it so that's nice, was 10$ cheaper than the STRIX and is newer )
AMD Ryzen 5 5700x
16GB Gskill Ripjaws
Corsair RM750e PSU
GTX 3060

questions my peeps: My copy of windows, I understand i'll need to re-install everything, I should be okay with installing linked to new motherboard right? windows was purchased through amazon, I have the physical disc with code.
