If they didn’t sit all the time for no reason this rule wouldn’t even be in place. Why more physical back in the day and they played. No excuse with this powder puff league to be sitting out so much

You gonna really compare a 100k job to $8.5 million job? Even you got more common sense than that.

A job is a job. These players sign contracts, they're part of a players union. You get injured on the job you still get paid...

Going into your 9-5, 5 days a week 50 weeks a year save 2 weeks of vacation is nothing like getting to ball everyday while you get free equipment, free food tailored to you, free trips all over the country and possibly world, lavish life styles, free lodging, probably not naming tons of other things professional athletes receive as well.

To even compare the two is stupid af. These guys should get penalized for every game not played period. Injured or not. Don't like it get a real job.

You clearly have no idea what goes into becoming a professional basketball player rofl.

It's nowhere near as easy or simple as you make it sound. That's actually funny that you think it's not a multi billion dollar business that is as cutthroat as any with a VERY minimal chance of even making. To act like it's some paradise vacation and not something guys work their entire lives for is pretty funny.

The players hate it. This is alllll the owners and its all about money. Bottom line.

The NBA is a business and they had to do what they had to do to get guys on the floor to sell their product. Follow the green.

people who actually watch games hate it

Of course I can say I'd love to be a professional athlete. But it's not always all it's cracked up to be, and it's also very difficult obviously. People see the games, but not the endless hours for many years building up to that to get to that level, let alone the work it takes to remain there and stay focused with all of the BS they have to deal with. Not every player has a big long term guaranteed deal either.

There are like 7.9 BILLION people on the planet (over 4 billion men) and only 450 openings in the NBA during any given season. Talk about difficult...
