Bedard will be good not great and it'll take him 2-3 years to bulk up a bit get used to the change of pace and build some team chemistry.

My guess is 20-30 goals 40-60 assist rookie year no matter who he plays for.

The team that gets him will play him on the top line and PP of course which will boost his odds for the Calder.

If another rookie comes close to him next year that guy deserves the Calder. You can't be in the same sentence as McDavid and then only beat the next rookie by 10-15 points.

Yea man I said the same thing to all my friends. All die-hard Hawks fans who thought Kane would still be there and that Bedard would be getting sauce from one of the best.

Because all the teams that "may" get him are terrible he'll be the only reason that fans show up. As an owner you are praying you win the lottery and get him just because you'll rake in more as an organization then what you'll end up having to pay him(and that's if he's good).

I also think this is all hype(good for the NHL) but anyone who knows hockey KNOWS that 1st picks can bust and just not fit their team or just the league in general(Oilers case example)

I want him to play good and get through his rookie year injury free but even that is a shot in the dark lol
