His is a good build, yes.

I mean those particular guides have a lot of info you're looking for - might be worth while to skim through them & familiarize yourself with different builds & setups etc

You don't have to follow any one guide exactly, just use the info you find to your advantage

good damage but very risky.
When the fire storm kicks in it will interrupt your pally's smiting with the firestorm's cooldown delay
