just wondering how these french fries have such low fat?
https://www.alexiafoods.com/products/oven-roasted-potatoes-french-fries/crinkle-cut-fries#Topin there, if u click "nutritional and ingredient info", u can see whats in it
but ive heard of companies have misleading claims and/or not labeling stuff correctly? wonder if this is likely?
ive got 1 bag of these, and they are fairly oily like any other frozen french fry bag. but this claim of such low fat and the very similar oil feel, seems misleading?
cause overall, these seem like an amazing substitute for regular french fries?
thanks
Yes, these are correct macros. Alexia is one of the brands that I support with regards to frozen potato products. The reason they are "low" in fat is because they are NOT FRIED, but rather, baked. The only oil on them is a thin coating of olive and canola oil, which mostly burns off during oven cooking. The flavor is quite good on a side note. However, 84g of french fries having 1.5g of fat, is not unusual. 84g is a very small serving of fries (get a food scale and you'll see). Even still, they are MUCH better than regular deep fried potatoes.
