Hi.

So me and my friend tested this thing with instant messenger where i put him in the lower part of my friendlist (NOT top32). When he comes online, he does not show up in my friendlist of online users. Still 0 users online.
And dont tell me to keep moving around my friends in my friendlist whenever i want to chat with them. This is obviously a bug/flaw with instant messenger.

Regards.

It's not a bug - it only shows the top 32 friends online. You should re-post this (with a poll) in site suggestions to have it updated - although I think this was primarily implemented so users with 100-500+ friends don't have their screens flooded.

A scrolling function of all ur friends on the right side bar like in the chat would be perfect. Why would the friend thing be a different design than the Chat? It should not be.

Its not a bug. Have you tried this command to message people who don't appear on your top 32?

/msg Username Message

For more information on all the commands refer to this guide: njIRCIM

Just make it a scrolling function on the right side like in the chat, but with all ur friends. Would be sooo much easier/cleaner/better. Like the old one had.

The old design was cluttered, and was nowhere near as clean as the new one. The old IM I believe only had the top 32 as well. This new IM has all of the old features, as well as new ones. If this isn't about a bug anymore, you should follow the link Protagonist gave you and make a site suggestion.

The old had them all, but it was a design decision to remove that from the new version for a number of reasons. I have no plans to change that at this time. Even stand alone IMs have hard limits on the maximum number of buddies you can have in your list. You can still /msg any user that is online, however, and get a status of a user (if they are on or not) by typing /whois USERNAME
