Hello, this is a simple guide for running Diablo II on Windows Vista & Windows 7.

    1. Click 'Start'
    2. Click 'My Computer'
    3. Click 'Local Disk (C:)
    4. Click 'Program Files' ('Program Files (x86)' if using a 64-bit OS)
    5. Click 'Diablo II'
    6. Right-click 'D2VidTst' and Select 'Run as administrator'



    7. Run the 'D2VidTst' and select 'Run Test'
    8. Once the test is run, select 'Direct3D', and click 'OK'.

If your Diablo II fails to start when runnning in 'Direct3D' mode, follow the guide below.

    1. Click 'Start'
    2. Click 'My Computer'
    3. Click 'Local Disk (C:)
    4. Click 'Program Files' ('Program Files (x86)' if using a 64-bit OS)
    5. Click 'Diablo II'
    6. Right-click 'D2VidTst' and Select 'Run as administrator'



    7. Run the 'D2VidTst' and select 'Run Test'
    8. Once the test is run, select 'DirectDraw (2D)', and click 'OK'.

If your Diablo II fails to start when running in 'DirectDraw (2D)' mode, follow the guide below.

    1. Locate your Diablo II Shortcut
    1. Right-click your Diablo II Shortcut
    2. Select 'Properties'
    3. Select the 'Compatability' tab
    4. Adjust the tab so it looks like the one below



    5. Click 'Apply' and then click 'OK'
    6. You're now ready to play Diablo II!
