This is from a bunch of pages back, but i hate hearing d2 was shit at release.. so what? Instead of building on how d2 is now, they reverted back and made a game not good enough for a diablo title. There are alot of things missing from the items in d3. In d2 you could build a character around items that completely changed your character, wolfhowl, beast etc. You could build whatever you wanted and be able to do the last difficulty and have fun with what you build. In d3, all you have is main stat, vitality and all resist. thats pretty much all you look for in d3 items, anything else is a bonus. Needing so much resist wasnt shoved in your face in d2 either, needed resist? oh heres a quest to give you resist, or a charm, or a gem/rune. Not every single piece needed it to be viable. and making weapons where only dps matters was dumb too. All they had to do was rebuild on d2 and not screw around with what works. Not to mention the items had other things like slain monsters stay dead, gave you auras/skills etc, and whats the point of making legendarys have a low drop rate, and making them complete shit? They totally fucked this game and are going to try to fix it through patches/expansions and they'll be like heres all this great new stuff! that should have been at release. And pvp was fine when i played it at blizzcon, i enjoyed it more then anything i had played in a while. You dont need to balance d3 pvp when you're going to die in 2 hits anyways. They also prioritize the AH and fucked multiplayer too with how shit the looking for game etc system is. Oh yea, and runes were a good thing in d2 aswell, they gave items value so when it came to trading with other players, you knew if you were getting fair value or not for something. there is no trading in d3, its only i found this item i think is good so im gonna go see what similar are going for on the AH. I could sit here all day and type more on what they fucked up with, but all you'd need to do is read the d3 forums, any true diablo fan wouldnt be happy with this game.

wall of text crits for over 9000... etc
I read this and I disagree with what you say, in large part because you have contradicted yourself imo. In D2 (unlike what you said) you have a main stat: Vitality (or mass dex on glass cannon zon or max energy on es sorc). You would get enough STR to hold your items (much of which was str/dex glitched) then you would put enough points into dex for max block, then you would
just mass vita. There was very little unique builds for pvp or pvm in D2, unlike in d3 pvm where a varity of skills are used.. So that makes no sense to me. Sure D2 had fun chars like GF Barbs or enchant sorcs but when you got in to pvp all the builds were boring cookie cutter builds with no creativity.... D3 will have more pvp creativity upon release I can gurantee that. Everyone maxed res in D2 as well, or stacked res for
specific duels; so really it is not much different, every char in d2 had max res anyways. in D3 there is no max res so that keeps it fresher in a way. D3 has done a good job in making stats more versatile imo, compared to D2 in some ways. To says D2 currently has more creativty than D3 is bogus imo. Every char running around with enig hoto and fcr gear - not much more versatile than
D3 - if at all. If you do not know the value for the items you buy and find that is your problem imo. I imagine you are one of those d2 fanboys that just wanted a new d2 with better graphics and a new storyline.
