yes, save every magic item and salvage them at the blacksmith. Train him, and train your gem bitch too (when you get that far.)

Hm. Will it get me more gold in the long run? I feel like gold hoarding is my goal until the market settles on a lower ratio in the forums..

There is really no point salvaging norm items because they are useless when you get to NM. You get new essences that you use to craft and the norm ones become worthless unless you want to craft norm items. I would suggest salvaging enough for in case you want to craft items to use but it is better to level your blacksmith in norm. But that is just me
