only ias from a weapon is used when transformed bear / wolf

TitanSeal's attack speed calculator says otherwise:

http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=60602572&f=87

When a Long Sword without IAS is equipped while a Werebear, the normal attack animation (which is used by Fire Claws) without IAS from equipment requires 18 frames compared to just 16 frames with +20% IAS from equipment.
I would try it, at least before jumping to a different conclusion.

TitanSeal and his calculator says otherwise, hence why I asked.

I have the sword and shield on my switch, as I use the gloves anyway. The sword is a lot slower than the knife....

Fire Claws is its own animation...If you use the deutsche version of titan seal, it has the various different attacks and their corresponding attack speeds.

P.S. Can't believe you don't know what you're talking about here Eywa....

Of course the sword is slower than the knife. The knife has a lower WSM (-20), thus giving it a faster base speed. >.<

What I was hinting at is that IAS from equipment is not entirely useless to wereforms according to TitanSeal's calculator - which is the opposite of what you said earlier.
The calculator you are trying to link to (I cut it out, because d2j$p is not particularly fond of such links) is not even TitanSeal's, but rather it is Heri's old Weapon Speed Calculator [v2.0].

I am not sure which German version of TitanSeal's calculator you are referring to - if not the one which is currently hosted on that authorised German Diablo II fansite.

AFAICS, the most recent one is Version 3 (available in English and German) which is what RaBBit3x refers to here.
I have been using that version for at least a few years now, IIRC.

Killed that bastard's ass with pleasure

Then took the loot(which was pretty boring) from Meph's soulstone

Got some things to do now, but will tackle Chaos and Diablo at some point today and probably move right into Act 5. My kill speed is pretty good at this point and Fire Claws is gaining damage by the ton with every level. By the time I leave Normal I should have around 1k dmg with it.

Oh and going back to this...I'm pretty sure TitanSeal's calculator is wrong...off weapon IAS does not affect attack speed at all when in werebear form. I can't find an extremely credible link to prove this, but for as long as I've played this has seemed to be common knowledge...The best evidence I can remember is the fact that Assassin's in bear form can hit the highest attack speed with a jewelers GTalon of quickness, which wouldn't make sense if off weapon ias counted.

As for the cleglaws, the set bonus counts as weapon ias and therefore does not help my attack speed, which is actually proven by the fact that my attack speed does not change when I take off the shield or gloves to lose that ias.
