Here is a startup video of a car I saw on LS1tech. Kurt Urban built 447ci LSX block. Turbonetics T-101. The car is still being tuned but mid to low 7's@190 should be within reach.

101mm baby eater. Well, not even babies anymore. Children/pets in general.

Yeah there are plenty of cars like that on the street. David Childress has a full weight full interior heat and AC Trans Am that runs 8.80's on DOT drag radials. He drives it every day 30 miles to work. 1050rwhp. That particular car is set up to be a drag only car. The engine is definitely streetable though. Kurt Urban is one of the best engine builders in the country.

That car probably has 50k invested. Maybe more. Hard to say without an exact run down of parts. Shit starts to add up when you break into the single digits. Much less the 7's. I would guess 1400rwhp when it is fully tuned and broken in. Several other guys are making 1200-1300rwhp with smaller turbos.

i would imagine so, when you start getting over 800-900 HP you start having to replace almost everything on the car, cv shafts, suspension, driveshafts, differential, brakes, and prolly rebuild the whole engine with a heavy iron block or high grade alluminum block and forged internals, anways ou get the picture new tranny i mean everything. i was looking at rying to get my gto up there in a few years, and i was looking at some arts that would be needed, idk if it is worth it lol, around 30k in parts.

i think my goul for right now within about 1-2 years is 550 or so hp, i dont wanna have to upgrade the internals cuz that is what will cost the most(3k alone for new internals) and the stock internals can handle 700 or so hp

so prolly only engine mods for me are going to be
exhaust
headers
cams
valve springs
pushrods
fast fuel rail
42lb injectors
fuel pump
supercharger

thats about it that should get me to 550-600 hp

Another option is heads/cam/nitrous. LS1's love nitrous. With a good tune it is every bit as safe as FI. 550-600rwhp is easily achievable with a 100 shot. It would be much much cheaper.

Any internal mods and most external mods automatically void your warranty. A good set of heads and a healthy cam along with all the supporting mods is going to net you around 460-480rwhp. That is MORE than enough for anything you will encounter on a normal day. The extra 100 is the just in case factor or for the track.

I'm still looking to procharge my car eventually. 402 stroker or maybe a 408 iron block stroker. F1R procharger and all the supporting mods. Should cost me ~12-13k depending on what parts I re-use. It would be good for upper 800's to lower 900's at the wheels on pump 93.

when i asked them about the waranty

this is what they told me

Nos = automatic waranty void
racing = waranty void
as for anything else, if your after market part caused the damage, then the part broken will not be covered by waranty nor is the aftermarket part covered by the waranty

so i gues a cam will only void the waranty if something goes wrong because of the part, i mean if its an electrical problem(which 70-80% of most problems are elctrical) its obviously going to be fine.

anthing mechanical goes wrong i plan on fixing myself anyways so its not that big of a deal
