The best country to never win a world cup. My dad told me the 1974 team was world class, and I was rooting for you in 2010. Was good when Spain got spanked by Robben and Van Persie last WC too, I enjoyed that.

1998 was the real deal. 2010 and 2014 were teams massively carried by good coaching and a few excelling players.

1998 had prime Ajax. Van der Sar, Stam, Reiziger, F. de Boer, R. de Boer, Davids, Seedorf, Cocu, Overmars, Bergkamp, Kluivert. Talk about stacked.

Too bad it was also the time of Zidane and Ronaldo.

most people said they supported the government’s policy of bringing annual immigration down to the “tens of thousands.” Half of those surveyed said they still support the government’s “hostile environment” policy.

Voters from across the political spectrum expressed similar views, with 86 percent of Conservative voters and two thirds of Labour voters supporting reducing EU immigration.

Even among Remain voters, 23 percent backed a “big reduction” in EU immigration, while 35 percent wanted a “small reduction.”

open borders are less and less capable of finding the support from a majority of voters.

a state with welfare can never work with open borders, period
its good to see that british left wing voters can see that, this ability seems to be lost in germany

people like wagenknecht (german die linke "the left" party leader), who is a die hard socialist, but understands that social politics can only work in a national state, are pretty much alone with their opinion
helpless ideologists, they have no problem with crashing the plane despite being on it

thats a shame, because a reasonable left is important for a democracy

we needed the populists to stop the merkels and junckers of the world. without voter backlash, we'd still have the 10k+ immigrants per day that we had during Q4/2015.
