Again, assumptions and apologetics. The nature of the analogy is simple to grasp, it's the point of discovering the answer and not the ignorant assumption that the answer is predetermined.

I appreciate the troll attempt, and I appreciate the argument from the devils perspective, moving the goal post isn't going to debunk the point.

I'm sorry you're unable to comprehend basic number theory. Try taking more math classes before you spout this garbage next time.

The nature of your analogy is completely and utterly flawed, as I have proven. You have not defended it one bit and instead spam ad hominem attacks and pretend you're Russiabank.

I'm not moving the goal post, I'm pointing out how your goal post is in shambles.

My point was to illustrate to you (who seems to be mathematically challenged) that there are an infinite number of cases where 7 is NOT the answer, but also an infinite number of cases where 7 IS the answer.  Infinity over infinity is indeterminate, so who are you to say anyone is wrong?

The only arrogance and trolling here is from you.

Well, actually, it's a bit more complicated than that, as there are proofs that some infinite sets are smaller than other infinite sets, see e.g http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cantor's_diagonal_argument ("[...]the diagonal argument establishes that, although both sets are infinite, there are actually more infinite sequences of ones and zeros than there are natural numbers.")

Proven? I'd take a lesson from an internet nerd on numerology but I fear I'd waste too much time. You Have assembled your own question around the answer, when the point of the analogy was discovery. 7 may answer questions but not all of them, and if you aren't going to look for the answer you're bound to fail.

We don't know, because infinity/infinity = indeterminate.  It'spossible that you could pass by only answering 7.

There are opposing arguments that claim infinity doesn't even exist. Your point, along with your lesson in assumptions, are completely wasted.

If God really created this universe, then the answer to every question about this universe, when taken to the deepest logical connection, would be god.

Making the point of discovery and knowledge useless.. Why, and how is it divine to create such a simplistic existence? If I woke up tomorrow and knew the answer to every question ever proposed was god, why would I bother to expand my mind? I have answered everything.

Mainly because God is only the answer at the most remote causal level, whereas there are causes and effects that are subsequent to god that we must look for that form the mechanisms that make up our universe and everything in it.

There are always going problems you will never solve, that's just apart of life. There is an inherent arrogance in asserting the answer to every question without an effort in discovery. You have no intention of discovering the truth, simply because it's what you faithfully accept. If life truly were a test, I couldn't imagine the test creator making the answer to every question the same thing. Otherwise it'd be too easy..

Thank you! I knew I was missing something in my life. Allah is just the answer I've been looking for!

Salaam!

Yes its a simple analogy, but its just a bad one.
Go get a pen and a pad of paper and sit down until a better one comes to you because this thread blows.
