That would be much easier if you did it in Illustrator first, then transferred it to ps

I am wondering how to draw in digi style like that, it seems somehow unfinished and more detailed at the same time. Basically what i am wondering is this just skills or some technique. And some youtube tut would be nice.
Style i am going for:

How my usual attempt turns out:

Thanks in advance!

Note: 2nd is not my deviantart acc but just an example

No real technique, just the idea behind it. Detail the area you want to have someone looking at - make everything else rougher the farther away it is.

I don't want to copy him, i just like his style. I am sick of my attempts ending up as a cartoonish drawing. I want to draw in diff style, with at least a shade of realism:P

The reason why it come out cartoonish is the shading is too defined and perfect. You have shading indicating a light source yet all your cloths are too much the same color. The other artist gives the impression of less detail by using large brushes that you can see the brush stroke. In reality there is more detail involved with making a realistic image. Do a search for socialist realism in google. It may give you more ideas of how to get more realistic images.
