Taxation is the power to destroy. As a society, we should not penalize wealth creation. We should tax consumption of resources.

accurately i think its worth stating the expansion of income tax and increasing percent of the federal budget that goes to "defense" is by design. but the claim that income taxes themselves were designed to fund wars seems dubious at best.
