Because I said right at the get-go I didn't know what to expect and that it could fizzle out with nothing happening? I covered my bases pretty well
and besides, everyone knows black people don't own parkas.

I suppose 'leading to' was not operative in your OP? I can only imagine that your post was capped off with such covering of bases in the same way that an Atheist says that they "can't be certain there isn't a God".

And, what can we learn about this case? Is it perhaps the power of swift accountability, people being fired (rather than put on administrative leave), and criminal charges commensurate with the actions taken that leads to a lack of need to riot?

No, its the weather. People overthink their social causality, sometimes out of political narrative, but more often myopia. Its like the January 6th riots being a case of a crowd crush that could have been averted with proper crowd controls, but instead all the oxygen is taken up by political rhetoric. Memphis isn't on fire because folks who haven't lived in Minnesota their whole lives don't go outside in a short sleeved shirt when its 40 degrees.

A correlative association is but one piece of a larger puzzle, to whatever extent it even may exist. Are you attributing this to solely the weather?
