Why can’t we use mouse/keyboard on our consoles? Do they ever intend to change this?

bc consoles are designed to be operated by controlers whereas pcs are designed to be operated by mouse/keyboard

You can use mouse and keyboard for other games on console. D2R is meant for mouse/keyboard so figured that would be an option given console (Xbox series x) can run both.
