Experience and knowledge of builds. Point System is good for ppl starting out the game. You can have a 6point ring that is useless

Experience and knowledge of builds would change what? All that would do is let you know what is a viable affix, which is part of the point system, so you didn’t answer my question.

i dont need a pointsystem to tell u if a ring or amu is good. like i said before its good for new players but thats all. you can have a 6point rare nec amu guess what? you need 20fcr on nec amu to make it good

the point system works only in one direction: items with low points don't possess value. however, just because an item has a high point count, it is not necessarily useful. you have to think about if the stats work well together for any build...

My main point for this post was trying to gain access to a site or generator that would show me max stats possible for each category and what the minimum stat value is to constitute a point. I understand that a caster ammy needs cast rate. I know the breakpoints. I am just wondering what makes the difference between a 200 fg piece and a 20k piece. Does that make sense? Just trying to get a better understanding on values and how they are set. Been playing since day one so I know what a good item looks like just not amazing with the math equations and definite values on rare items.

a point system can't and won't ever calculate an item's value for you. use the price check section and your own common sense

Yes but unfortunately 90% of the time if you can even get an answer on a price check post it's usually from someone who wants the item and is giving you a low price point so they can try to secure said item lol. If we lived in a perfect society your proposal might be valid. As to common sense there is a huge difference between that and knowledge. As I stated I know what a good item looks like. What I don't know is if the stats on that item warrant a 200fg price tag or a 20kfg tag. But if you are saying that there simply is no easy way to determine that, than that I can accept.

I resolve your problem, guys:

If 6 point ring is a shit, just sell it to Akara...

It is very rare to find 6-point (and ever a 4-point) ring, so you will have to sell such "bad" rings not often

So your point is you look to see if the mods are viable and how high the stats of the affixes are to determine the value. Also known as using the point system and viable affixes. Thanks for proving my point.

Anything 3 points or lower is typically 0-25fg
4 points is typically 50-150
5 points is typically 100-300
6 points is 300+

1 point is 66%+ of max roll
0.5 point is 50%-65% of max roll

Could some one post a link to a good item calculator?

Like where I put in stats and it tells me if it's a 4 or 5 or 6 point ring type deal?

Thanks in advance.
