Just snagged a 4070 Ti at bestbuy it was on sale for 820$, I'm pretty sure my current cpu will bottleneck it *Ryzen 5 3600*.

Thoughts on the best wallet friendly 300-400$ cpu I can get?

The games I typically play are

DayZ StandAlone
Squad Milsim
Hell Let Loose
and occasionally MFS (Microsoft Flight Sim)

Thank you in Advance

there would not be much bottleneck with a 3600 and 4070Ti unless your playing at 1080 and at that point its just big numbers vs big numbers so its a zero issue. There will be a small bottleneck at 1440p which again is a small issue and practically non existent bottleneck at 4k. If you really want to minimize the bottleneck can get a 5800x3D which is in your price range and will slot into your board and use your current ram.

Definitely Ryzen 7 5800X3D & keep your current MOBO as it's AM4 Socket.
