I just want to say thanks for all the replies and voting people never thought this thread would blow up like this! Whether you play d4 or not we can all agree that diablo was a great franchise in our lifetimes.

wait you mean you wont pay 100 dollars for the super special edition and not even get the base game and on top of that have to pay for a season pass because diablo is about cosmetics thats the franchises core selling point?

Why all the hate? I played the closed beta and as a long-time D2 fan who didn't really like D3, I am in love with D4

I will be playing D4. It is more likely than not to be a money-grab with no net-new genre changing development but I still think it will be a fun 2-3 weeks to play, just like any other game.

And if it does turn out to be a good game, all of the enraged d2 only 4 life haters are going to be buying it and cursing themselves for how far behind they are. Or even worse, watching twitch streams living vicariously through someone else whilst wishing they weren't so butt hurt prior to release

Okay, what things did you like about it though? I'm open-minded about it, but skeptical I'll have the appetite for a whole new computer game these days. With D2 and D3 getting tons of quality updates, why would I want another version of this game to play?
