Game Version: Hardcore (expansion / not classic)
Server: Americas
Requirements: hardcore experience, discord, willing to play at least 8+ hours at launch, willing to participate in at least 2, 2 hour practice runs between now and launch, (prefer players who would like to go to 99 in first week, but this isn't required)
Additional requirements: No malicious pks (you know ppl who hunt noobs, if your into dueling that is fine), no malicious hacks, we will be wearing the TEB- tag, so on character creation your character name will be TEB-XXX, this team run will be sponsored by clan TEB and since we should have a number of people fairly high up on the ladder it will be cool to show off some success as a team.
How to reserve a slot: put down your class/build - verify if you have hc experience, verify you have discord, let me know if you can be available to do a couple of 2 hour practice runs on a saturday or thursday night, or if not what night(s) you could be free. Here is an example:
"pally/hammerdin, have disc, 10+ years hc experience, Saturday works for me"
Details:
I'm looking to assemble 2-3 full 8 player teams for the next ladder reset. Since this will be hardcore people will probably die. We will be going fairly quickly and efficiently but will not be the top team out there. If possible I'm looking to assemble more than one team of 8, so that as the night progresses if people die, go to sleep etc, groups can consolidate down remaining members and sustain a full group. You need to be ready to play for at least 8+ hours at launch, after that you can go do whatever you want and you've fulfilled your commitment. However, many of us will continue to grind hard and push during that opening week for 99. Participation in at least 2 practice runs before ladder reset will be mandatory, I will be running 1-2 of these every week starting from hopefully sometime this next week until ladder reset. Probably going to shoot for Saturday night and Thursday night, but there is some potential flexibility. I'll send out pms and add a post to this thread for when new practice runs are scheduled. If you want a sorc slot you need to be ready/able to do substantial teleport work. If you have any questions leave them here.
My background:
In case anyone cares. I'm closer to 40 than 30 years old. I've played D2 hardcore since old bnet 1.09 (2001) I spent most of my time on old bnet doing ladder grinding on hardcore classic. Since D2R launched I've spent my time focused on making fg, but for once I'm going to focus on a ladder run and see if my team can make a respectable showing. I'm fairly sure we won't be #1 or anything like that, but we might be able to get a team member into a finish on the front page of the ladder.
