I am currently leveling a Light elment. I am trying to find the best build/guide. also need help to lmao im a diablo player but trying out POE i am enjoying it so far

while i do wanna help a fellow d2 player, im pretty sure that you wont really enjoy poe if you use a guide directly on start also cant help directly because ive been banned a few weeks ago

i can give advice though! poe gets boring real fast, especially to a d2 player. it requires an insane time investment and at least around 50ish $ of actual money investment if you expect to be anywhere except the very bottom of the food chain. so do a playthrough without a guide, try to get into the game naturally. using a guide right from the beginning will get you bored in a matter of days if not hours

There's a lot of interactions to learn. I usually suggest picking a build guide from a major streamer and following it. Do something meta for the first go through too.

first step to enjoy poe is to never listen to snyft

second step is watching youtube, perhaps zizaran's academy could be helpful to you

Most important: READ
I can not stress this enough to new players. READ. The game offers a lot of important informations right of the bat. Use the little "i" Window (lower right of the UI).

If you want to play without a guide: Unless you know what you are doing, try to concentrate on ONE skill and one core function of the skill when you add gear or support gems.

Else: READ the official forum, it has tons of good guides. Don't take guides that tell you that you will do a gazillion DPS. Take beginner friendly guides with lots of pages, those often indicate a good longlasting build and check the version of a guide. PoE sometimes radically change between leagues that a build that worked on the last league could now be just dead.
