They only traded with the Sixers because it was made clear they wanted Fultz and the Lakers were set on Lonzo. Celtics wanted Tatum and were willing to take him #1, but didn't make that clear. They worked Colangelo like a god damn fool trading back and still getting their guy. Maybe the Sixers were worried about the Lakers taking Fultz #2 idk.

Sixers wanted Fultz from the jump. They needed a shot creating guard and Fultz checked all the boxes as a great shooter, good size, good defensive tools, handles, etc. Too bad he didn't pan out to be much of any of that in Philly and somehow forgot how to shoot 😣
