fact is that the biggest complain about open trading (and jsp) is that it makes the game p2w and unfair during ladder
that way you can have open trade and fair ladder at the same time
obviously assuming that D4 will have pvp or something worth to do in non ladder (for example: is there something to do in D3 non ladder? I have no clue), cause then there's no point to have open market all together

Good thinking, even this kind of trading system is alot for them imo, they would love to go with full no trading but they made some kind of little trade option and making it seem like its more than it is so more people would buy the game, i wouldn’t be suprised if they change something in first 3 month for good or bad.

Not locking the rares once converted would just decrease the value of the unlocked versions. Your own statements of "make the final 5% unlocked!" Would absolutely kill the actually decent trading system because supply would eat demand way too fast.

The game needs changes from the beta. Gameplay and gearing wasn't as rewarding as it should be. Being able to trade a few more items in not the issue you should be squealing about..

Do you even recognize how the trading economy would work in current state D4? Items that get traded getting locked/burnt from the pool is amazing, it's a proof of play concept with very clever anti-inflationary measures in place while still allowing self-found to be viable without killing the options of selling ultra-rare items.
