tldw: trading is locked (D3 style) for ladder chars and free (D2 style) for non ladder

it's just wishful thinking imo, game's done and blizz will do what they gonna do
we've seen the result of "listening to the community" in diablo 3, trade lovers and pvp'ers are the minority sadly (i've seen guys on official forums already complain about gold being tradeable)

Nobody would play ladder who wanted to trade, and nobody who wanted seasonal experience would play NL. Straight up.

Shit idea. They'd need to redo the loot system to ultra rare existence as well, otherwise everyone will just have perfect shit.

i'm not sure if it would really matter tho, unlike games like POE diablo 4 isnt designed around trading, you'll find everything on your own just fine (not as quick as in D3 but faster than in D2)
for expectations, i'm personally fine with getting maybe a hundred hours out of it and move on to something else like poe2, last epoch, D2R season x, or something different like ffxiv etc

This, spliting communty would be bad idea, they made their minds, they are supporting no open trading idea and they are going hard for cash grab and marketing since game will be dead in 6 months with no open trading. D4 looks alot like D3 just a toned down version, D3 in first year was good game because it had open trading and they didnt experimented much. Arpg is complited genre, experimenting alot and mix things from other genres are making game being bad.

Would disagree with trading is minority. Look at diff between ssf and trade version of Poe leagues. Trade version is massively and I mean massively more popular

wait they have a trade and a no trade version in PoE?
why dont they just do that with D4

yeah, blizz don't want trading is the diff where POE is based around trade imo

I think poe is based around builds but not sure didn't play it for
long time, but if you look the big picture, trading is making everything else in arpg work much much better and giving it hole another level of gaming experience. To be precise : open trading
