ISSUE: Streaming services such as apple music, youtube load very slowly and time out constantly. Speed test does not yield any results and WiFi works perfectly fine.

Wired connection from router to PC via cat6

when router is bypassed, all services load correctly. I have replaced the router so there is no issue there. any help on what i should do would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a VPN available to try with the router? Would be interesting to see if the issue persists while connected to the VPN.

Probably a cheap 40$ router, I would get something like asus, msi, or even netgear-nighthawk.

Seems like you are stating the problem on your own.
It is the router.

I assume you are not using any server for streaming? Some hosts can rate limit you for that, in that case you would need one that allows ip modifications. Could probably be the same in some routers.

assuming you have ISP home hub for your internet line? and you have another router connected to it? have you configured the router at all or did you just plug it into the hub and essentially using it as a switch?
