Still pocketed life changing money for something he didn't have when first attending the game. Good on him.

Sounds like he was already well off.

Either way, homie lost HALF of what he would have received. And after taxes and all.....oof that hurts

An offer doesn't mean the person saying 3m would have actually paid it either.

It's a free 1m ish after commissions/taxes etc.

It's like people winning the powerball/mega millions then bitching about taxes as if it really matters when you still pocket 300-400M

He owned the ball, that's his ball. He was offered $3M, therefore it was worth $3M. A piece of property he OWNED was worth $3M. He later received half of that for it.

Simple stuff, really. Idk why that is so hard to understand 🤦‍♂️🤣

in hindsight, that's true, but in that specific moment he didn't know and thought it was worth more. the guy had no concept of a lower offer, or knew if $3m was the highest (at that specific time)

"my hindsight trading account is worth millions"

i see this a lot on the internet, people always talk about something that happened after the fact, when completely disregarding about the present tense of the event, and putting themselves in that person's shoes..

Yes, he THOUGHT it was worth more. He thought wrong. He took a gamble and lost, period.

Someone was willing to pay $3M for something he owned.
