Here's an honest review:

If you're into PvE you don't need to pay anything. If you're going to pay for something for PvE you can pay for Prodigy's Path ($19.99) but don't claim anything until you reach level 60. Battlepass for $10/month is also a good deal but really not necessary for PvE.

Lots of clans are willing to help level/carry you; if you are looking to join you can join The Fallen Server and ping me happy to help.

For PvP what they say is true: it is a black hole $ wise. In order to be top 100 you need to spend $15k+ easily. If you just care about PvE it's really a good game, especially for mobile. That said, this recent update came with a TON of annoying bugs that they hopefully fix asap.
