9 ^ 3x = 81 ^ 2(x-1). You want to rewrite the bases to be the same. Notice they’re powers of 3.
(3 ^2)^3x =( 3 ^ 4)^(2x-2)
3^6x = 3 ^ (8x-8)
Now that the bases are the same you can set the exponent equal.
6x = 8x-8
-2x = -8
X = 4
i think i may have written this wrong
9
= 81^2^(x-1)
does this change the answer ? sorry and I appreciate you taking the time to help
it makes perfect sense what you said actually I was struggling and trying to keep them both 9, but if you can clarify how to do this with the above question I would really appreciate this
