Howdy Brothers and Sisters!

Have a sermon you feel really compelled to share? Post the link here!

This is one of my favorites:

It’s from Alistair Begg and features a wonderful message about feeling like a stranger in the world.

One of my favorite things to do is turn off the lights, close my eyes, and listen to this:

https://youtu.be/PKiAXVxOm6o

It’s an intimate narration of the Gospel of John, read by David Suchet. I believe this is something to meditate on: in knowing this was how the gospels were originally shared, it can make one feel connected to countless souls over the past 2,000 years who heard this for the first time, believed it, and even gave their lives in sharing/believing it. This oral/auditory reading is a refreshing experience for those usually having spent years only reading the full book with their eyes!

What do you think is the most hated Christian Doctrine? Might you hate it, too?

This sermon by John MacArthur addresses this topic in a biblically based and poignant way:

A great sermon by Alistair Begg expounding on Roman’s 1. He reminds us well of biblical explanations for why the world is so lost and chaotic, as well as the role of Christians in being the light in the darkness. This sermon’s message towards the end was a great call out to me, I have often found myself laughing at and making crude jokes of sin, something we as Christians mustn’t do.

Very relevant and thorough sermon by John MacArthur addressing the separation between The Church and the world. His expounding of scripture, to relay God’s Kingdom versus social causes (CRT, feminism, LGBT-ism), worldly initiatives, etc., is on point, and challenges anyone’s belief that Christianity can mingle with anything non-Christian.

Yes! So many sermons over the years, even going back to written records of sermons, there is a plethora of truth worth listening to or reading. My favorites generally expound upon The Bible, provide context and parallels of culture/society, point to Christ, and get us to judge ourselves (not just others) in light of the message as it relates to the scripture.
