So i have been toying around fl studio for about 20 years on and off.
I never really dedicated alot of time during this period to actually learn the program and how to proper build/master a song.
So i was on my knees doing music with really limited knowledge but was still able to make it sound "ok" without any fancy paid vst's or such.
So i have decided to really try follow my passion and i hope my motivation and dedication will stay as strong as it is right now.
so i made this song yesterday. I feel that i have some problems when it comes to mastering and making it sound as crisp as i want.
are there any general "mastering" rules for a newb? is there like a common filter everyone uses or compressor or w/e?
Or is it just that i should have started out with logic/cubase? :/

I Have decided to put my first album together ( In the making )
I feel i have the motivation and the support to at least give it a go.
I have a techno friend of mine who knows some ppl that are good at mastering and he was willing to help me out on my album.
Basically just doing it for my family and friends, but i don't mind spreading positive vibes worldwide.

I will be uploading teasers on my Soundcloud and the genre will be similar to the track i posted. A lot of atmospheric space deep bass vibe ish.
