I don't think the videos of all the mainstream tech youtubers pertain to the price directly, but more about the cost/performance ratio of what you're getting on your 'investment'

0 support for DDR4, only DDR5 and DDR5 pricing is still garbo (increased cost of your build, cost/performance values)

Next Gen will always be more $$$ ofc, but that's not what the hype/issue is about

I think the real issue is the jump in performance in the ryzen 5 actually and people still holding on to ryzen 5 being a mid tier/ budget component. added with the ddr5 upgrade being so expensive still.
nothing out of the ordinary here imo.

See those boot times on new DDR5 installs? Ayyy brutality... even when recognized, still 20-45 seconds for boot after the initial 3:37 setup and that's on 16gb (2x8gb).. yikes

And that's PCIE 4 NVME... def don't turn your PC off after the ram is recognized, going back in time there.. hopefully they fix that

Ryzen users that are looking to upgrade their CPU and have an AM4 socket MOBO should consider the Ryzen 5 5800X3D as a solid choice when seeking a budget-friendly upgrade path. Utilize your same MOBO and RAM, only the chip needs upgrading.

The power draw with the 7000 series chips, along with the DDR5 power draw is rather tremendous and could even warrant another upgrade in your Power Supply

If budget is of no concern, the 7000 series is unreal but will soon be rivaled (if not trumped) by 13th Generation Intel Chips releasing within a few weeks. Raptor Lake chipset will support DDR4 memory and Z690 boards, meaning all you need to purchase is the new chip. The competition between AMD and Intel sure is heating up.

Competition is great for the consumer.
