I notice when people use the municipal water supply it tends to have more chemical salts that dry out the scalp.

Try bathing in spring water, rain water, or well water.

I told this to someone who once used dozens of different products.
They almost cried in shock that it helped them

I'm positive this is a solution. I don't have dandruff directly, but can have dry scalp.. and also dry skin, i swim regularly in clorinated water and can get eczema or rash if i don't use skin lotion on those areas (lower arms, shins and feet). But during summertime, if weather is nice, and i go to the beach and bathe in salt water during several days and weeks, i notice these things disappear within very short time. 100% the water we use, shower, drink and swim in is processed with chemicals that is not good for us.

I do boil the water i drink though, i hope that helps a little bit for my system.

That is not to say there can't be nasty things in saltwater either though lol...

Go to sea water spa, pools, beaches, whatever.

If there is one more thing .. buying a hygrometer and making sure you have a healthy inner climate is something i feel helps for this. Air not being too moist or too dry. And if you have longer than average hair, use a hairdryer to dry it properly, but not using the heat element. I also have a floor fan that i use regularly if it's too hot or if i just need to cool down. Anything that produces air flow so that the skin and scalp can "breathe".

What if these limitless dead skin cells can be a source of energy? Is it possible to collect enough dandruff and then can we design a process to convert the dead cells into a useable renewable energy source? Inquiring minds wish to know.

Funny enough my Ole lady bought head and shoulders dandruff shampoo and right on the back in fine print, it states "Can cause flakes.". Imagine that... The ones that sell the cure, usually create the harm.
