Seeing other threads made me think I should get my components checked over before I assemble this PC. I currently have most the parts but can return as they were just purchased this weekend.

Would love to keep the theme of all white.. open to suggestions, I do not want to change the case though.

My current build is not within my budget that I would like to keep. Some suggestions of where I can cut costs, but what will I be sacrificing? Money isnt an issue, just dont want the build to get out of hand.
I currently did ddr4 build, not sure if the jump to ddr5 is worth it or not?

I only game on this PC.. no photo editing, strictly gaming.

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/WFpnjZ

I have manually entered some prices as that is what I paid for the components during the labour day weekend sale.

Budget:
Maximum you will spend? - $3000-3500
Will you complete mail in rebates? - Not aware of this in Canada
If so, may we go over-budget if rebates bring you within budget? - Sure if someone can inform me how these work
Do you need Windows Operation System within budget? - Yes
Need a Monitor? / Mouse? / Keyboard within budget? - No

Basic Info:
Specific Uses (Programs, game titles etc.) - 1440p Gaming
Country? - Canada
Will you travel to NCIX (canada) or Microcenter (USA) for parts? (Null if unsure) - Yes I travel to the USA for work lots, have couple trips to Colorado in Oct and can get components if necessary.

How much hard drive space do you want or need? - this is one of my questions: 1TB
Will you use wireless or wired internet? - Wired. Wifi nice to have
Will you overclock CPU and/or GPU? - Likely not, dont know how to do it
Any special requests or useful things to tell us? (Specific case, need lots of storage, audio etc.) - All white build

Style (optional)
Do you prefer any specific colors for the build/computer case? - All White, Lian Li Mini Snow Edition
Do you prefer a window on your case? - Yes
*(Please note how picky you will be with colors. Sometimes it's just not feasible to get some colors on certain parts)* - All white

This is a sick build.

I would switch out the Samsung 970 NVME for the 980 Pro series or something like a Western Digital Black SN850/Crucial P5 Plus.

Might as well take advantage of the PCIE 4.0 speeds, especially if you're gaming the load times will be beautiful.

Thoughts on DDR4 vs DDR5? And I was hoping to cut some costs, adding the 980 adds costs lol, albeit only $40

Go with the Western Digital Black SN850 it's less money and actually faster than the 980 pro. People see Samsung and they buy it for the name, which it is a great NVME but the WDB arguably better.

And DDR4 IMO unless price doesn't matter, DDR5 prices still a bit high for the benefit

The Samsung 980 is actually 10 bucks cheaper for me here.

Yeah I feel like I need a 1000W psu… I have a Corsair RM850x in my current build but not sure if it will suffice.

Pcpartpicker also did not give me any options for 1000w. Not sure what the compatibility issue was

I don’t think you need SFX to fit in that case tho. I have seen several YouTube builds where they use the RoG Strix 1000W in that case

Edit. Nvm guess you do need the SFX. I looked back at said videos and they were using the lian li dynamic not the mini. My bad.

Is 850 enough for a 3090?
