blizzard is pretty good with banning accounts that do this. Its not the vpn that'll get you banned (unless its a public one previously used for botting) its the purchase region/currency not matching up with the ip playing on the account later on.
Theres quite a few s/a threads on jsp of people trying to flip 3rd world country bought game clients for fg and the buyer getting banned almost instantly. Steam cracked down on this heavily years ago and so did blizzard leading up to bfa. Even gifting the game to someone in a different region (eu and NA are fine) where the game is much cheaper from say brazil or venezuala to EU or NA will result in a ban or the game being stripped from the account.
