I appreciate that, I'll have to look into it. Parts are a bear to find for the 83. It spent the last 35 years in my Grandfather's basement, so it needs quite a bit to get going again.
The 01 I will pull out soon to swap heads for vtec and replace the input shaft bearing. I may steal some of your ideas. (Love the paint you went with on the engine.)

its rare to come across a single cam Honda nowadays.
My friend has been building one for a few years now, it has gone threw a few setups but the current engine is sleeved with high compression turbo setup. currently switching it to ethanol.

My engine is sleeved as well. Not many people seem to do this. Most people go with block guards (garbage imo) or css. Css seems like an excellent choice too
