just updated my cpu and bios. everything working fine but i have no sound in Chrome now. I have it in Edge. I have it in other apps. I have it in games. But nothing in chrome no matter what website I go to

thoughts?

check your volume mixer.

i've done everything i could find on google

drivers
volume mixer
chrome settings
and about 8 other things

only thing i havent done is reinstall chrome

Yes in google chrome settings , you will simply select your default Input/output/webcam.

chrome://settings/conent/sound
will be a box to allow sites to play sound , slide to the right to turn it blue
make sure no sites are muted.

Also check your Volume Mixer to make sure everything is unmuted.
I've muted things before by mistake simply by cleaning my keyboard.

did all this and more. final step was uninstall and reinstall and it worked
