US People! Was anyone else getting ready to order the iPhone 14's until they pulled that e-sim only crap? lol. like wtf!! So now I'll either need to pay crazy prices for an e-sim while I'm in europe/asia or I'll just have to wait until I head over again, verify they still have our frequencies in their phones and then buy an iPhone there! heck, maybe I'll just wait til iPhone 15 when european variants will have usb-c and sim trays while the US variant is over here rocking e-sim only and lightning.

Typical Android user complaining about iPhone users citing made-up issues the iPhone user never complained about.

1. Never said anything about price of the iPhone.
2. Top of the line android devices cost more than iPhones.
3. Said the user who spent $$$ getting three stars. Everything is made up and the stars don't matter. #justSaying.

That was clearly to force everyone to pay for the AirPods. lol. Wonder if Apple now get a kickback for every e-sim activation...

especially since it appears Apple's e-sim activation is a customized variant so carriers have to specifically make arrangements with apple to get it to work (at least as of the iPhone 13, it used a proprietary e-sim setup)

IF that is the case, I may buy one just to file a lawsuit against Apple. lol.

To see the truth of something, you must look beyond the benefits.
What most see as a convenience, I see as surveillance and control.
This is true for most things, not just phones.

Just because it also includes surveillance and "control" (not sure what you're referencing there), doesn't mean the benefits aren't worth it.

For me, I've saved many hours thanks to GPS, using the internet to lock my door, using a card instead of carrying wads of cash around and going to check cashing places instead of using direct deposit.

The more convenient something is, the less secure and the more surveillance there is.

That's just the way life is.

P.S. I don't see how you can hate phones but use another device to access the internet. It's only *slightly* better than a phone.

Do as you will.
But know that stuff (and more) are being actively used against you.
They want you to use it and will always present it as a benefit to you.
But as I said before, to see the truth of something, you must look beyond the benefits.
