Three years ago when I first purchased my Nintendo Switch the first game I had gotten for it was Diablo 3 the physical cartridge. But since then I rarely played D3 and every game I bought afterwards was a digital purchase.
So basically Season 27 for Diablo 3 started this past Friday and it felt awkward putting the cartridge in my Switch. But I had fun shaking off that D3 rust and I reached 500 paragon merely playing casually on my whirlwind/rend Barb for a few days.
My question is simply this: If I decide to play Diablo 3 a lot more in the future. Let's say I buy it again via a digital purchase. Will my cartridge saved date carry over to my digital copy of the game? Or will it be a fresh start? Do you guys recommend I just play the physical cartridge version?
