i kinda still do, you cannot get matched in unranked draft matches though, simply not enough playing there.

Mostly do just ranked matches, aram, or quick match to get matched within "reasonable" time. (still takes like 10 min for ranked though at times. so just start queue and do other stuff)

Mostly played by clueless bots who are unable to understand/comprehend DotA's recipes & char builds,trolls and griefers.

I mean this game is so trash and meant to fail the moment it was designed so fundamentally wrong.
