Hello there, I decided to go back to school & I need a laptop for class. I’m only going to be using this for school & to mess around with at home, so I don’t need a gaming laptop or anything high-end. I’d like to keep it around the $600-$700 range.

Any suggestions before I buy something random off Amazon / Best Buy ?

Can’t comment too much on specs, but I will say that bestbuy is decent for their open box / certified refurbished deals. Amazon too if you’re lucky. I had a good experience buying my laptop and monitors as open box from them at a decent discount.

Do your research, watch the inventory (fluctuates intra-day), and pull the trigger when you see a good deal. Note that there is sometimes a restocking fee on refurbished and open box deals sold by a third party. GL.

You in Canada?

$1299 for a 3070, i7, ssd, etc:

Open box is available too for a $1169.

If I didn’t buy my laptop 2-3 months ago I would pull the trigger on this.

Use Newegg.com to sort for laptops that fit your requirements.
Sort away from gaming laptops ofc.

Then just go down the left side... sorting for things you do/don't want.
No charge. :D
