Completely agreed I don’t think any game until the end of time will ever be as good as Diablo 2. D2 was the most perfectly balanced game ever created it was the only game that has seven classes and each and every class depending on who plays them and how you build them can be equally as overpowered. You could literally be the worlds best BVC with a bow, or telezon, summon Hdin, amp windy, etc. Think about it they never came out with balance changes in 15 to 20 years of the game and the game was just perfectly balanced because of how many builds you could create, The game balanced itself by being so close to reality/real life.

nah that shit not balanced son. There are counters to everyone type of character, but i wouldnt say it was balanced my man

That’s what I’m saying though like the game balances itself by being so complex and so close to real life.

Like you can take the worst two competing classes that have the most advantage over one another and the class with the least advantage can make up for that based on their build/play style.

For example one of the biggest counters for hammer paladin is a bowa. But one of the biggest counters for a bowazon is a paladin with smite/grief. So you use smite and grief and you can dominate any bowazon. But then she can counter you by using a doom on switch with ss and enigma, or strong af jav/ss/mb/dodges/walk downs to counter smite. Then if she does that you can use eternity/cmoon with freeze merc and get revives on your hammerdin to completely block out her arrows (physical immune). But then if you can do that she can use multi/knockback/jav sort of and walk down.

And the possibilities are endless the best players know all of the counters in the game and the winner usually comes down to who can counter who more effectively and outplay them. This is why it’s important to have every class on your account and if you feel like you don’t have a chance or not even a Build change wont allow you to win then you can literally just change the character.

Even after playing this game for over 45,000 hours, I didn’t feel like I knew every build/playstyle in the game.
