i am not wrong, if you are str-bugged u can die only one time, escape the game and you will have your eq, maybe you cant take it immediately but when you go to stash and get enough str then its fine
but if you die more times with str-bug you will loose some of your eq wich you cannot take because you dont have enough str

If u are str bugged in such a way u need to swap items one should always instant save and exit prior to getting body.

Then body will appears safe in Town.
Click it and u will pick up whatever items u can based on ur str/dex.
Remaining items will be in body still. Now out in required gear to pick up remaining items.

Be carefull with str bug if u dont know what ur doing.
