I've been wanting to make small modifications to a custom map, but the map files are locked. How does one unlock locked BW map files?

I doubt its been locked with scmdraft if it can't been opened. Mapmakers used to use a program that made it impossible to open the file, if i had to guess it is one of those. They used it to protect their work.

I think it was called something like SMLP or something? My memory is hazy

Unused Unprotector 2 was suggested to me in the SC BW Discord chat. Sent the guy the map files (which are over a decade old) so he easily unlocked them. I'm guessing most modern files are protected with more state of the art locking apps, but it didn't take more than just a couple minutes to download them, unlock them, and send them back in the chat.
